HRX 2018 is right around the corner. From January 4th-7th, the top SMITE teams in the world will meet in Atlanta, GA to see who will reign supreme on the Battleground of the Gods. It’s going to be an action-packed event, and we don’t want you to miss a minute of it. So let’s go over the format, brackets, and participating teams for this year’s SMITE World Championship on PC and console.

SMITE PC Format, Teams, & Brackets

On the PC side of SMITE at HRX 2018, 10 teams will be representing 6 different regions on the World Championship stage. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • North America
    • eUnited
    • Luminosity Gaming
  • Europe
    • Team Rival
    • Obey Alliance
    • NRG Esports
    • Elevate
  • Brazil
    • Black Dragons
  • Southeast Asia
    • Entity Gaming
  • Latin America
    • Nocturns Gaming
  • Oceania
    • Scylla Esports

These teams start in the placement stages, where it’s an international best of 1 (Bo1) throwdown. This is where the runner-ups and gauntlet winners from NA/EU match up with Brazil, LatAm, SEA and Oceania. The losers there have another shot and will fall down to the knockout round.

This format means we could very well be seeing an LG vs NRG matchup as soon as the quarterfinals!, so you’ll want to tune in early to make sure you don’t miss any of the excitement. In the final phases of the tournament the Quarterfinals will be best of three (Bo3) while the semis and the finals will each be a best of five(Bo5).

Check out the brackets below to see when your favorite teams and sleeper picks will be facing off.

SMITE Console Format, Teams, & Brackets

For SMITE on console, there will be four teams taking the stage at HRX this year — and all of them are from the NA region! Unfortunately, no EU teams made the cut for Worlds this year, so SMITE Console will be all NA all day. Here are the teams participating:

  • North America
    • Astral Authority
    • Strictly Business
    • Myth Gaming
    • Obey Alliance

The first match will be between Strictly Business and Myth Gaming, and the other side of the bracket pits Astral Authority against Obey Alliance. Following these head-to-head sets, the semifinals will be Bo3, and the finals will be a grueling Bo5 to determine the next World Champion for SMITE Console.
