Now that we’ve wrapped up the SMITE Masters event and crowned Team Rival as your Spring Split champions, it’s time to start looking forward to the Summer Split of the SPL. While most things are staying the same as we head into the summer, there are a few key changes that you’ll want to be aware of — so keep reading for all the details!

 

Summer Split Format & Broadcast Schedule

 

Dates: May 28 – July 6

 

The Summer Split will run for 6 weeks, from the end of May until early July. This split will feed into the Summer Finals, and the top two teams from both North America and Europe will qualify for this event. More details on our summer LANs will be released soon!

The format for the online phase of this split will be as follows:

  • Double round robin format
  • Best-of-three matches

Although the format is the same for the Summer Split, our broadcast schedule will look very different with new days and times. Here’s a breakdown of our new broadcast times for the SPL throughout the Summer:

  • Mondays (3:00 PM ET) — 1 NA SPL match + 1 EU SPL match
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays (3:00 PM ET) — 2 EU SPL matches
  • Wednesdays & Fridays (3:00 PM ET) — 2 NA SPL matches

Summer Split FAQ

 

What teams are playing in the 2018 Summer Split? 

The 12 teams who participated in the Spring Split will be continuing into the Summer Split. The 6 SPL teams for each region are:

NA: eUnited, Spacestation Gaming, Splyce, Trifecta, Luminosity Gaming, Counter Logic Gaming

EU: Team Rival, Team Dignitas, NRG Esports, Obey Alliance, SK Gaming, mousesports

When are rosters due for the Summer Split? 

Rosters will be locked in by May 23, and we will release all roster change info after that time.

When is the SMITE Summer Finals event? 

The SMITE Summer Finals will take place from July 25 to July 29. More details on this tournament will be released soon!
