Now that we’re in the thick of Phase 1, it’s time to start looking forward to our first major event of  Season 6 — the Mid-Season Invitational! This live event is the culmination of Phase 1, where the top teams from all three of our leagues (SPL, SML, and SCL) will fight for glory on the Battleground of the Gods!

This event will also be the first ever crossplay LAN event in SMITE esports! Keep reading for more details on the Mid-Season Invitational — including the tournament format, bracket info, prizing breakdown, and where to watch.

Mid-Season Invitational 2019 Format

 

Dates: July 8-11

 

The Mid-Season Invitational will be played in two stages:

  • Stage 1: Single-elimination play-in bracket
    • Crossplay bracket that features both PC and console teams
      Best-of-three (Bo3) matches
    • 8 total participating teams from SML and SCL
    • Top 2 teams will advance to the main bracket
  • Stage 2: Single-elimination finals bracket
    • 8 total participating teams, including the top 6 SPL teams and the top 2 teams from the play-in bracket
    • Best-of-three (Bo3) matches through semifinals
    • Best-of-five (Bo5) finals
    • $200,000 prize pool (with a portion guaranteed to console teams)

 

Play-In Bracket: Teams & Schedule

 

The play-in bracket is Stage 1 of the Mid-Season Invitational and will feature a total of 8 teams from the SMITE Console League and the SMITE Minor League, seeded as follows:

  • #1 Xbox NA
  • #1 Xbox EU
  • #1 PS4 NA
  • #1 PS4 EU
  • #1 SML NA
  • #2 SML NA
  • #1 SML EU
  • #2 SML EU

  • Monday, July 8
    • Match 1: Xbox NA #1 vs SML EU #2
    • Match 2: PS4 EU #1 vs SML NA #1
    • Match 3: Xbox EU #1 vs SML NA #2
    • Match 4: PS4 NA #1 vs SML EU #1
  • Tuesday, July 9
    • Match 5: Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2
    • Match 6: Winner of Match 3 vs Winner of Match 4
    • Match 7: Winner of Match 5 vs Winner of Match 6

Finals Bracket: Teams & Schedule

 

The finals bracket is Stage 2 of the Mid-Season Invitational and will feature a total of 8 teams — including the top 6 SPL teams and the top 2 teams from the play-in bracket. Teams will be seeded as follows:

  • #1 SPL
  • #2 SPL
  • #3 SPL
  • #4 SPL
  • #5 SPL
  • #6 SPL
  • Placement #1
  • Placement #2

  • Wednesday, July 10
    • Match 1: SPL #1 vs Placement #2
    • Match 2: SPL #4 vs SPL #5
    • Match 3: SPL #2 vs Placement #1
    • Match 4: SPL #3 vs SPL #6
  • Thursday, July 11
    • Match 5: Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2
    • Match 6: Winner of Match 3 vs Winner of Match 4
    • Match 7: Winner of Match 5 vs Winner of Match 6

 


 

From July 8 to July 11, the Mid-Season Invitational will be broadcast on ALL our official streaming platforms, including the SmiteGame Mixer channel, the Skillshot Twitch channel, and the SmiteGame YouTube channel.
