Phase 1 of Season 6 is coming to an end, but there’s plenty more LAN action on the horizon! Immediately after we host our Mid-Season Invitational event, we’re putting on a second live event for our esports fans: the Splyce Invitational. This event will see four SCL captains draft a mix of SML and SPL players to create an all-star team. Then those four teams will hit the Battleground for a one-day showdown.

The Splyce Invitational will be hosted at the Skillshot Media studio. Keep reading for a breakdown of the format for this event, how teams will be drafted, and when you can watch the action unfold!

Splyce Invitational Draft Show

Date: July 11 (immediately after MSI)

Right after we wrap the final day of our Mid-Season Invitational broadcast, teams who competed in the event will stick around for the all-star draft show! On July 11, the four SCL captains whose teams qualified for MSI will choose four other teammates from a pool of the other SPL and SML players who competed in that event. The captains and the teams they’re drafting for are as follows:

  • Juggernauts (Captain: Layers Slays)
  • Manticores (Captain: DineOhSaw)
  • Titans (Captain: MattKoiz)
  • Minotaurs (Captain: JustLion823)

When these captains look to draft their teams, they’ll have to follow a few key rules to make this a true all-star event:

  • Snake style draft
  • Captains must select one SML player for their team
  • Captains must select one of the four Splyce players who competed in the SMITE World Championship at DreamHack Atlanta
  • Captains must select two SPL players
  • Captains cannot select more than one SPL player from the same team

Once all teams are drafted and each captain has a star-studded roster locked in, they’ll be seeded into a single-elimination playoff bracket!
