Phase 2 Circuit Playoffs Format & Teams

Dates: July 10-12, 2020

Similar to the Phase 1 Circuit Playoffs, the Phase 2 Circuit Playoffs were originally slated to happen on LAN. However, due to the continued health risks around COVID-19, we will be holding this playoff event online similar to what we did with Phase 1.

All matches will be hosted online and the event will be split up by region. After some discussion with our participating teams, all parties have agreed on the following format:

  • 4 participating teams per region (top 3 SCC and top 1 SOC)
  • Double-elimination bracket
    • #1 SCC team plays #1 SOC team first round
    • #2 SCC team plays #3 SCC team first round
  • Best-of-three (Bo3) matches all the way up to Grand Finals
  • Best-of-five (Bo5) match for Grand Finals
    • Winner bracket finalist will have a 1-game advantage in the Grand finals

All qualified teams from Phase 1 have been locked in for this event. The participating teams for each region are as follows:

  • North America:
    • Baskin & The Boys (SCC NA #1)
    • Locked & Goated (SCC NA #2)
    • Bloogy & The Woogys (SCC NA #3)
    • Gone To Tahiti (SOC NA #1)
  • Europe:
    • Belt Slap (SCC EU #1)
    • The Papis (SCC EU #2)
    • Cold Llamas (SCC EU #3)
    • smileyface (SOC EU #1)

The brackets for both regions have also been made available via Challonge. Click here for the North American bracket and click here for the European bracket.

Phase 2 Circuit Playoffs Prizing Breakdown

  • 2nd Place: $9,000
  • 3rd Place: $7,000
