eUnited and Renegades recently announced a few roster changes that will be effective immediately for the SMITE Pro League. Here’s a quick recap of everything you need to know about who’s staying, who’s going, and who’s swapping roles.

In a tweet released on Saturday, eUnited revealed that they were benching GuyJ (ADC) and Variety (Solo) in order to bring on NA SCC players Baskin & NotGeno. To accommodate this change, Snoopy will be moving back to ADC after a short stint on support. NotGeno will step into support, and Baskin will take Variety’s place in solo. The new eUnited roster is as follows:

  • Snoopy — ADC
  • NotGeno — Support
  • Hurriwind — Mid
  • Screammmmm — Jungle
  • Baskin — Solo

As a follow-up to this roster change, the Renegades made a similar announcement via Twitter on Sunday, revealing that they have released solo laner SoloOrTroll from their roster. This news came right after SoloOrTroll returned from being temporarily benched on Renegades’ starting roster.

In a follow-up tweet on Monday, Renegades announced that Variety will be stepping into the solo role for their starting roster. There will be no other role swaps or starter changes, so the new roster for Renegades is as follows:

  • BaRRaCCuDDa — ADC
  • AwesomeJake408 — Support
  • Venenu — Mid
  • LASBRA — Jungle
  • Variety — Solo

Players from both teams have released statements regarding these roster changes. eUnited team captain Hurriwind released a Twitlonger on Saturday that outlines the decision-making process that led to the change. SoloOrTroll also released a Twitlonger in response to the news that he was being dropped.

We also hosted interviews with members from both teams to get more insight into these changes and how both eUnited and Renegades expect these roster swaps to boost their performance through the final months of Season 7. Check them out below!

As of midnight on Friday, September 11, all SPL rosters are locked. No team is allowed to make any more roster changes for the remainder of Season 7 (this includes SWC).
